Home made taco seasoning

  • 6 teaspoons chili powder
  • 5 teaspoons paprika
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons cumin
  • 3 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Method:
mix and store in an airtight container Seven teaspoons of mix equals one packet of bought seasoning mix.

Moroccan spice blend

  • 2 teaspoons each of ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, ginger and cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon each of ground white pepper and turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon each of chilli powder and ground nutmeg

Method:
Combine all spices and store in an airtight sealed jar.

Cajun Spice Mix

  • 1/3 cup salt
  • 4 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 4 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons ground white pepper
  • 3 tablespoon onion powder
  • 3 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 3 tablespoon cayenne
  • 2 tablespoon thyme
  • 2 tablespoon basil
  • 4 tablespoon paprika

Method:
Mix together and store in an airtight jar for a short period of time.

Quick easy Avocado dip

  • 1 ripe avocado, mashed with a fork
  • 1 tbsp sour cream
  • Squeeze lemon juice
  • Salt
  • 1/2 to 1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce

Method:
Mix all the ingredients and season to taste. Store in the refrigerator, covered with plastic wrap. Keeps for 1-2 days. Serves great with breads or vegetable sticks like carrot and celery.
