Supporting Local Communities
In addition to supporting Aussie farmers, we also like to give back to the communities in which we live.
Aussie Farmers Direct Fundraising gives our customers a simple way to raise money for local schools, community groups and sports clubs. Customers simply nominate a registered organisation and Aussie Farmers Direct donates 2% of each family’s annual spend directly to that organisation. We currently have more than 1,300 registered schools, sports clubs and community groups, and have donated almost $400,000 since the program commenced.

Aussie Farmers Foundation is a non-profit public benevolent institution and health promotion charity. Launched in August 2010, the Foundation focuses on supporting rural and regional farming communities across Australia. In our first year of grants (2011/2012) Aussie Farmers Foundation donated more than $250,000 to regional and rural communities throughout Australia, made possible by the donations of Aussie Farmers Direct customers.

Aussie Farmers Dairy was launched in January 2011 and now produces 300,000 litres of milk per week for Aussie Farmers Direct customers in Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. With approximately 90% of fresh milk consumed in Australia is produced by foreign owned companies, the launch of our own dairy allowed us to secure the supply of 100% Australian milk for our customers and future generations.
Additionally, Aussie Farmers Dairy initially created 24 new jobs in the Corangamite Shire which is expected to increase to 100 jobs over the next five years. Alongside job creation, Corangamite Shire Council’s economic modelling predicts the Aussie Farmers Dairy will increase the shire’s gross regional product by $36.6 million within five years. On top of the direct employment benefits, indirect employment is also expected to flow from the expansion to the local economy.
